Claudia Joy does her best to keep her medical condition a secret. Trevor finds his new role as a recruiter to be challenging. Meanwhile, Pamela is desperate to hear about Chase, who was suppose to return home two weeks earlier.

Claudia Joy gets into a car accident with Denise on their way to a spa where she receives a shocking diagnosis. Menwhile, Trevor and TJ bond during a fishing trip; Finn enjoys his first day at school; and Jeremy is reminded how precious life is when a soldier is injured.

A former senator's widow is escorted by Claudia, Joy and Denise to a groundbreaking ceremony on the base. Elsewhere, Roxy tries to make a good impression for Finn at his private school; country singer Jack Ingram gives a show at Roxy's bar; and Roland gives comfort to Joan over her pending deployment.

Roxy's favorite country singer comes into the bar looking for a job. Chase's homecoming is ruined by Pamela's hunt for her lost wallet. Jane agonizes over the family milestones she'll miss while on her deployment.

Michael and Emmalin spend some quality time together to rebuild their relationship. Claudia Joy escorts Haneen back home to the Middle East. Roxy is concerned that Finn is having difficulties in school.

Joan and Evan compete against each other in Fort Marshall's war games; Haneen's surgery is a success; Frank and Denise continue to work on their relationship.

Pamela disapproves the methods used by her son's football coach for teaching sportsmanship. Elsewhere, Denise and Frank seek advice regarding their relationship; and Joan and Evan are assigned as opponents in the annual war games exercise at Fort Marshall.

Joan and Roland receive help from the ladies in preparing for the christening. Trevor is asked to give care to Lucky, the dog. Elsewhere, Terrence and Roland assist and injured Iraqi orphan.

All does not go as planned when Roxy throws a grand reopening party at the Hump Bar. Pamela is offered a job as a coach for her son's football team after the head coach learns she has the knowledge for the game. Joan decides she wants to have Sarah Elizabeth christened before she deploys. Chase gives his family a surprise by returning home from his deployment a few days earlier than expected, but has a hard time adjusting to life back on the post.

Claudia Joy lends her help in helping Michael and Emmalin bridge the gap which lays between them. Trevor's insecurities about providing for his family are brought out after Pamela and chase move out. Meanwhile, Trevor is offered a job, and Jeremy faces a near miss overseas.

Claudia Joy goes house hunting as Emmalin continues with his rebellious ways. Pamela finds herself searching for a new home because her children no longer want to share a room. Elsewhere, an outside therapist confronts Roland about the care available for soldiers and Trevor finds his career in jeopardy after making a bad call during a drill.

With Frank's unit having run into trouble in Iraq, Denise tries to discover his fate. She turns to friend Claudia Joy for help, but she is busy reestablishing her home base after deciding to remain in town with Emmalin.

The tribe offers their support to the Claudia Joy and Michael, who are supposed to leave for Brussels, but have one little problem…Emmalin has disappeared. Meanwhile, Roxy has her own challenges dealing with the bar and Betty’s nephew wanting to own it outright. As for Denise, her affair with former patient Mac will have definite consequences.
