Meanwhile, Gabrielle will stop at nothing to get her daughter Juanita in Catholic school, and Lynette's pregnancy becomes impossible to hide. As Bree tries to hide her infidelity, Angie uncovers the truth about Orson and Bree's less than perfect marriage.

Susan believes Katherine may have been Julie's assailant, but Lynette has her own suspicions regarding who may have strangled her. In the meantime, Gabrielle struggles to homeschool her daughter Juanita. The Bolens invite the Hodges over for dinner, and Angie confronts her husband about a secret he seems to be withholding from her.

Bree begins to fall for Karl and drifts further from her husband, and Katherine continues her sad attempts at seducing Mike, as her conflict with Susan grows. After Juanita says something she shouldn't during a school play, Gabrielle erroneously gets her expelled from school, and Lynette learns her husband Tom is cheating during mid-term.

When Bree begins to fall for Karl, she decides it is time to break things up before they get way too serious. However, Karl isn't willing to let her go that easily, and makes her a proposition. In the meantime, Juanita says a bad word during a school play and Gabrielle is attacked by the school's principal (guest star Marianne Muellerleile), which leads her to respond and ultimately get her daughter out of the school, whereas Lynette learns her husband is cheating during mid-term. Katherine pretends to be on Susan's side to get to Mike, and Angie hides some secrets regarding her mother.

Gabrielle is deemed a bad mother during her daughter Juanita's party, and she tries desperately to prove to others that she is a responsible parent. Bree gets defensive when she's judged by a motel maid for having an affair with Karl Mayer, and Lynette is put off by her new handyman when he defers to Tom for approval on all things, whereas Susan and Katherine come to blows over Mike. Meanwhile, a lapse in judgment on Danny's part leads to a terrible mishap that Angie and Nick must cover up.

As Katherine unravels, revealing how much of a toll losing Mike has taken on her, Bree comes to her aid. Gabrielle grows weary of John's intentions towards her niece, and, with twins on the way, Lynette calls upon her family to step up around the house. In the meantime, Susan learns Julie has been harboring some secrets, and Angie throws a party for her son.

Tom and Lynette try to tell their kids that their mother is pregnant again, whereas Susan becomes convinced that Danny Bolen was responsible for strangling her daughter Julie. Bree considers wether she should go away for the weekend with her lover, and a chance encounter reunites the Solis family with Gabrielle's former lover, John Rowland (former main castmember Jesse Metcalfe).

As the citizens of Fairview try to make sense of a recent attack in their neighborhood, Lynette withholds a secret from Susan. Gabrielle gives niece Ana advice on how to get a guy's attention, whereas Bree worries how her affair with Karl will affect her friendship with Susan, and Angie is determined to protect her son and her family's past.

Lynette faces the reality of another pregnancy, whereas Bree struggles to break free from Orson and her inhibitions.
