Ryan O'Reily had a successful surgery, and now turns his attention to Dr Nathan. Augustus Hill's court appeal was denied. Said gets Poet's poems published. Schibetta offers Alvarez a piece of his drug trade if he kills Adebisi in return.

Alvarez knows the identity of the man who raped Warden Glynn's daughter but refuses to name him. Augustus Hill gets a new trial after the first presiding judge is charged with bribery. Ryan O'Reily has lumpectomy surgery. Shirley Bellinger arrives on death row.

McManus places the prisoners in EM City into 10 groups, and sets up a council where grievances can be addressed. A GED program is set up to help inmates earn their high school diplomas. Glynn's daughter is attacked. O'Reily learns he may have breast cancer.

Oz is on lockdown after the riot. A special committee lead by Alvah Case is to investigate the riot and Gov Devlin's handling of the situation.
