White vans: a cultural icon of modern Britain, carriers of goods, fat men and England flags. The lads duly pay homage to this iconic vehicle this week when they get behind the wheel of their own vans to find out which it the best to drive, the easiest to steal and the fastest. All will be revealed and more, as they become bona-fide roadies for The Who. This should save the band from smashing their instruments themselves...

Family cars feature this week - booo! Anyway, the Ford S-Max, Vauxhall Zafira VXR (don't laugh) and the Mercedes B200 Turbo. The word 'turbo' tells you that these aren't necessarily the cheapest, slowest family cars you can buy. The fast exotic car this week is the rather handsome Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

A caravan on Top Gear never lasts the full hour; they are usually blown up, crushed or set alight pretty quickly. These options are available to the lads, but not before the three of them take a caravanning holiday in Dorset. The Stig, with the Toyota F1 team, see how fast you can drive indoors and the Mazda 6 MPS, Mondeo ST220 and the Vauxhall Vectra VXR are tested.

The Toyota Aygo takes on the VW Fox, not on the road, but on the football pitch. Jeremy takes the new Citroën C6 racing at Towcester and the Prodrive P2 supercar gets a thrash around the track.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is tested in Cyprus against of all things, a Red Devil - a member of the R.A.F.'s freefall parachute display team. With the help of an interior designer, Jeremy gives the Mercedes S Class a make-over with a rather unusual 'retro-look'. The new S Class is tested, the BMW Z4M shows what it can do on the Top Gear track as does the Koenigsegg CCX - this time with a new 'Top Gear' rear wing designed not to kill the Stig.

Jeremy, James and Richard design their own amphibious vehicle and test it on a Stafforshire reservoir. Jeremy has a Toyota Hilux, James a Triumph Herald with a sail and Richard has a Volkswagen camper van painted to resemble a canal boat. At least one of them is going to get very wet...

The Jaguar XK is driven by Jeremy through the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. He didn’t like the fact that the car was made to a budget and felt ‘cheaply made’. He compared it to the BMW 650i and the Mercedes SL350. Despite his view that the German cars were better made, he still preferred the ‘less sophisticated’ Jaguar. He also drove the new Corvette Z06. Richard was in Iceland for a race against a jet-powered kayak - he drove the Tomcat 4x4.

They're back and it's business as usual with Jeremy testing Sweden's entry in the supercar market, the Koenigsegg CCX and Stig doing his best to kill himself in it. James drives the new Honda Civic and Richard is relegated to driving a most embarrassing convertible: the Nissan micra C C - a pink Nissan micra C C.
